Welcome to the Shaker Regional District’s Preschool Program

This preschool program is based on the awareness that learning is a community experience. For the preschooler, this included family, friends, and community members!

The preschool program strives to include the following:

Being sensitive to parent’s feelings, needs, and concerns
Soliciting input and feedback from parents
Maintaining contact with parents throughout the year
Keeping parents apprised of the program throughout the year
Sharing with parents what we know about child development
Encouragement of visitation and volunteer participation
Using the community as a resource
Being aware of parental concerns and providing resources for parent-teacher education

Preschool Application Timeline

May 11, 2012	Completed Applications Due
May 22, 2012 May 24, 2012	Mandatory screening at Belmont Elementary School from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm May 22th is for three year old children May 24th is for four year old children
June 8, 2012	Letters will be distributed to all parents in regards to participation in the program. Registration information will be sent to those who have been enrolled in the program.
June 22, 2012	Deadline for returning registration information to the district
